Caution: May Contain Cats

Finally! I have an excuse to post a picture of my cat on this blog. Here he is:

Umm... were we interrupting something? Oh, just your unrelenting adorableness?
That's cool.

Back to books! This week we're giving away a copy of Crafting With Cat Hair by Kaori Tsutaya, the book that launched a thousand double-takes. Is it a joke? Nope. It's really quite earnest and sweet. Not only is it full of shockingly cute cat photos, it will also tell you what to do with that excess cuteness (aka cat hair). The answer? Felting!
In order to win this book, you must leave the name of your favorite cat (along with your e-mail address) in the comments. A winner will be chosen at random.
Shall we all say a collective "Awwww?"

**UPDATE**
Comments are closed for this giveaway. Thanks to all who entered! We have one more book to give away, and all you animal lovers will probably want to see what it is.

So many wonderful cats have touched my life!

  3. My fave cat was my first feline friend & is still my best buddy to this day; she is Princess of Chaos: Ruler of the Backyard Kingdom. Thinks like a human, acts like a dog & looks like a cat. She is super mellow & loves to go on road trips. She follows me without a lead & is very clever.

  5. We've got 5 cats: Macavity, Jollimon, Tabitha (she's 18), Yoshi (his cousins are Luigi and Mario from Italy) and Grizwold. They're all either shelter cats or rescues. I could use this book with all the "love" they leave around the house!!

  8. My favorite cat was my friend Sam's cat, also named Sam. Not a case of vanity naming... the cat already had the name when she adopted him. jenireland50 at gmail dot com.

I recently saw an episode of Cats 101 on the Animal Planet about a woman who spun cat hair and then made felt bags. Very fun. Favorite cat is Clarence (aka Mr. C) who is an orange and white Turkish Angora with soft sleek fur. kaburch1 at hotmail dot com.

I had a childhood cat, named Tober (short for 'october' I think). I've always thought that was a good, solid name for a kitty.

  12. Whether it is an advertisement for the latest video game system, an offer for male enhancement products, or simply just a Web page that you didn't open yourself, popups can be one of the most annoying things about surfing the Internet. Thanks.
